Metabolic Testing

Harris Training Systems, LLC is proud to offer metabolic testing that has previously been available to only elite athletes or through hospital settings.  We offer resting metabolic rate assessment and exercise metabolic assessment.  The resting metabolic assessment gives us the tools to set up exact diet program based on the needs for your body.  We can acquire your true resting metabolic rate through this test.  This analysis will give us the starting point of building a diet based on the number of calories your body needs each day.  The exercise assessment gives us the ability to program “true” target heart rate zones for training and also your true anaerobic threshold, which is a necessity for all training programs.  The test takes place on the equipment of your choice, which includes bike, treadmill, elliptical, or stair-climber.  We then perform a graded exercise test to determine certain markers of metabolic assessment.

Your metabolic profile is assessed so we can develop your custom training and nutrition program. VO2 assessments performed at rest and/or during exercise can determine your:

Using your metabolic profile, we will develop an accurate training plan based on your individual physiology. We will help you establish realistic training goals, implement your program, and monitor your performance. We also recommend metabolic reassessments to measure your progress and update your training plan to ensure success.

Metabolic Assessment Prices

Initial Exercise Assessment:  $175  (follow-ups are $125 for that calender year)

Initial Resting Metabolic Assessment:  $150 (Follow-ups are $100 for that calender year)

Combo Package for both assessments:  $275 (Follow-ups are $225 for that calender year)
